By Patrick Barnard, TMCnet Assignment Editor

VoIP solutions provider ABP (News - Alert) Technology is demonstrating its Mid-Market SIP IPBX 50-500 Extension System during INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO EAST, now underway in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

The solution combines the power and flexibility of the Audiocodes Mediant 1000 gateway and the advanced features of pbxnsip (News - Alert), a leading SIP-based IP PBX (News - Alert) software platform.

The server-based, carrier-class solution delivers industry leading VoIP voice quality, plus a full collection of state of the art business features including (as delivered through the Mediant 1000) auto-attendant; mixed analog and digital interfaces on a single platform; support for the G.711, G.723.1, G.728 and G.729A audio codecs; support for the MGCP, SIP, H.323 protocols; SNMP-based alarms for higher-level management (NMS) system; wide support of PSTN protocol termination CAS/PRI, R2 PSTN interfaces; SIPS, SRTP and TLS; (and as delivered by pbxnsip) conference mixer; voicemail; multiple appearance; hunt groups; call forwarding; call recording; registration over WAN; call queues; and SIPS, SRTP and TLS. It comes in a robust 1U chassis and also features the latest in VoIP security.

The platform, configured with its SBC card and the pbxnsip software, provides a full featured SIP IP-PBX platform with superior call routing and signaling. It also offers a user-friendly GUI for configuring and maintaining the phone system.

The system works with snom IP phones, which are among the first to incorporate SIPS, SRTP & TLS, thus enabling secure IPBXs within the office and for remote extensions.

ABP Technology, a division of ABP International, Inc., is a technology marketing company that specializes in IT and telecommunications products. It distributes its products - including snom IP Phones and AudioCodes gateways - exclusively through its channel partners. ABP International is based in Dallas Texas and has a sales organization that covers the US, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America.

ABP Technology is demonstrating this solution at Booth 1410.

INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO EAST, the leading trade show focused on IP Communications, runs Jan. 23-26, at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale.
