Really Simple's CRM API Allows Direct Integration of Web Applications

By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

CRM is the pivot around which organizations revolve in order to succeed. Managing customers, increasing base, maximizing loyalty are the tenets on which companies are built. Deploying a hosted CRM offers the flexibility and freedom to meet business needs simply, easily and in a cost-effective manner.

Realizing this fact, Really Simple Systems, the largest U.K. vendor of cloud CRM systems, announced the availability of its CRM API, an online CRM system that helps SMEs who want sales, marketing and supports systems that are easy and fast to use. It is useful not only for company managers but also for everyday users.

CRM API allows Web developers and software providers to integrate their applications directly into the Really Simple Systems Web-based CRM application.

The advantage of the API is that it allows low level objects in the cloud CRM system to be read, updated and created using XML data. Using the search criteria, it is extremely simple to retrieve even multiple records.

Mark Hutter, business development manager, Real Training, was very impressed with the CRM API, and said that they used it to build a real-time dashboard, which showed visually attractive reports based on closed opportunities.

Real Training, a specialist e-learning provider to educationalists, was an early user of the API.

John Paterson, CEO of Really Simple Systems, said that integration of Web-based application into the company's Web-based CRM system give businesses the opportunity to offer customers a closely coupled CRM functionality with an extended customer base.

Paterson continued in the same vein and explained that recent research from Really Simple Systems indicated that confidence in cloud applications had increased in 62 percent of SMEs and SaaS (News - Alert) offerings could be easily leveraged using the cloud CRM system.

The CRM API is available now, at no extra charge to existing Really Simple Systems customers.

Really Simple Systems, nominated for the 2010 Software Satisfaction Award and winner of the award in 2008, is the largest United Kingdom provider of Web-based CRM systems with offices in the UK, North America and Australia

In a related news release, Really Simple Systems and KashFlow, respectively the largest UK vendors of hosted CRM and accounting systems, announced a product and marketing partnership to offer integrated CRM and Accounts to SMEs in the UK. Both products are now linked in real-time to provide users with an integrated marketing, sales and accounting system.
