Alteva and Bumbernick Looking to Educate on Hosted Exchange Communications at ITEXPO

By Jaclyn Allard, TMCnet Copy Editor

After a successful end to 2010 and busy beginning to 2011, Alteva is ready for a little fun in the sun – ITEXPO (News - Alert) East Miami. Alteva, a unified communications and hosted exchange provider, is sending William Bumbernick, chief innovation officer to speak at this year’s ITEXPO East.

In November 2010, TMC’s (News - Alert) David Sims reported on Alteva’s (News - Alert) recognition from TMC as a recipient of the 2010 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award presented by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.

The awards are based on demonstrated improvements that the winner's product/service has made in its client's businesses. In Alteva’s case, PTR Baler and Compactor Company, a manufacturer of cardboard balers and waste compactors for the retail industry, implemented Alteva’s Hosted Exchange VoIP as part of its greenie initiatives to implement technologies “to help further contribute to its budding corporate sustainability program.” Alteva did just that.

In January 2011, Alteva made TMC news with the industry's first on-demand video auto attendant. A significant portion of end users are seeking ways to integrate video capabilities into their business with the continued expansion of the IP communications industry. Customers will experience a video greeting with routing options by interacting with Alteva’s Video Auto Attendant.

To learn more about Alteva’s role in the unified communications industry attend ITEXPO East 2011, February 2-4 in Miami, Fla. Bumbernick will join industry leaders from Market Strategy & Analytics Partners, Siemens Enterprise Communications (News - Alert) and LogiSense on a panel focused on hosted exchange communications titled, “De-mystifying Hosted Communications,” Friday, Feb. 4, 9:00-9:45 AM ET.

“While many types of hosted communications exist in the industry, one thing is certain – by utilizing the power of the cloud, end users will realize a dramatic reduction of costs compared to premises based solutions,” said Bumbernick. “When a customer chooses a hosted unified communications solution, they benefit from the things important to making a business efficient such as unparalleled communications continuity, vendor/ bill consolidation, scalability, increased control, business continuity and mitigation of technology obsolescence. Hosted UC solutions, like VoIP and Microsoft (News - Alert) Communication Services, contribute to an overall reduction in resources and costs of power and cooling by up to 84 percent, also providing a green benefit to the end user.”

Want to learn more about the latest in communications and technology? Then be sure to attend ITEXPO East 2011, taking place Feb 2-4, 2011, in Miami. ITEXPO offers an educational program to help corporate decision makers select the right IP-based voice, video, fax and unified communications solutions to improve their operations. It's also where service providers learn how to profitably roll out the services their subscribers are clamoring for – and where resellers can learn about new growth opportunities.
