Zultys Announces UC Client for Mobile Phones at ITEXPOBy Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor Staying connected to staff has never been more important as more and more workers are finding themselves far afield from corporate headquarters.
Now, IP telephony solution provider Zultys Inc. is helping to keep remote workers that much more tethered to business, announcing its new MXmobile Unified Communications (News - Alert) client for BlackBerry devices at the ITEXPO West 2009 show in Los Angeles.
MXmobile delivers Unified Communications is providing critical productivity-enhancing tools like presence, displayed voicemail, internal extension dialing and corporate directory access, according to Steve Morrison, vice president product management and marketing for Zultys (News - Alert).
"Demand for UC mobility is on the rise, especially as mobile devices become more ubiquitous and companies across the spectrum grapple with the strict demands placed on them in the current business climate,” said Morrison. “The Zultys MXmobile client, initially available for BlackBerry devices, is a cost effective way for companies to go mobile, especially for SMB firms.”
MXmobile for BlackBerry devices will be available in the fourth quarter of 2009, and the company plans to release MXmobile for iPhone (News - Alert) in the first quarter of 2010.
Morrison will speak on a panel session titled, “Adding Video to the Mix” at ITEXPO (News - Alert) on Wednesday, Sept. 2 and Zultys will be demonstrating its MXmobile client in booth #618.
MXmobile also provides 'Least Cost Routing' for mobile devices, which are expected to cut costs.

According to the company, the MXmobile client is capable of seamlessly connecting people across an entire organization, allowing workers to see which of their co-workers are online and available, and the best way to reach them.
