Voxox, a cloud-based unified communications (UC) provider, has announced that it has made its Cloud Phone (News - Alert) available to mobile carriers and original equipment manufacturers for rebranding.
The announcement means these companies will be able to take the Cloud Phone service and rebrand and integrate it into their own products.
“Since its introduction last year, Cloud Phone has been addressing a need in the small business community for a powerful yet easy-to-use business phone solution that centers on the smartphone; now, we are enabling our operator and OEM partners to take advantage of this market opportunity and realize a significant new revenue stream," Voxox CEO Bryan Hertz said. "White labeling a solution like Cloud Phone will not only allow operators to deliver added value to their existing customers, but it will also help them earn new customers who are seeking advanced business features from their service provider."
Voxox cited a study of its users released earlier this week that found that nearly half of them used consumer apps for business purposes. The company said that this means carriers have an opportunity to offer more advanced features to their customers.
Cloud Phone’s features include local and toll-free numbers, greetings with professional voice talent, phone menus, the ability to send voicemail messages to email inboxes and automatic voicemail message transcription. The whole system has been created in HTML5.
Voxox has targeted Cloud Phone toward small businesses with its plans as low at $14.95 per month for two users. The “Pro” plan for up to ten users and 5,000 minutes costs $34.95 per month, with overages of 2.9 cents per minute. Any carrier or OEM bundling Cloud Phone is free to charge what it wants.
Voxox has already won a number of awards, including TMC’s (News - Alert) own Mobility Tech Zone Product of the Year award for 2014.
