Surf Helps Dinnovan Develop Media Streaming Server Apps, Including IVRBy Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor Dinnovan, a Korean convergence solution provider reportedly has picked Surf Communication Solutions’ SurfRider/AMC boards and SurfExpress boards to develop media streaming server applications.
Surf’s SurfRider/AMC and SurfExpress/PCIe boards will be integrated into Dinnovan’s key customers’ applications, including media streaming, fax server, Media Resource Function Processor (News - Alert), Video Response Service, Video Gateway and Video IVR for a number of wire and wireless customers.
“Surf’s solutions meet and exceed our customers’ requirements, giving us the value-added tools we need to integrate our solutions into strong and reliable applications,” said Cliff Lee, Dinnovan’s sales division account manager.
Dinnovan, a developer of value-added communication solutions based on SS7, SIP, MEGACO and MGCP technologies searched the market for viable solutions and after evaluating other vendors selected products from Surf Communications (News - Alert). According to Lee, Surf – whose AMC board is shown at right – was chosen as they offer a number of qualities such as the functionality of their products, strong reference customers, technical support and delivery.
“We are proud to be associated with Dinnovan and integrate our products into viable solutions for their customer base,” said Eli Nakash, Surf’s sales director, APAC who also believes this alliance will support customer applications through 2009. Surf expects additional sales to complement this achievement and foresees the rise of the Korean telecommunications market.
“We look forward to participating in its future,” he added.
Surf Communication Solutions is a provider of hardware and software products that drive voice and video applications. Earlier this year, Surf’s SurfExpress/PCIe multimedia processing solution was chosen by NEC (News - Alert) Corporation, a multinational company providing information technology and network solutions to business enterprises, communications services providers and government.
Surf’s SurfExpress/PCIe multimedia processing solution is helping NEC provide simultaneous voice and video processing capabilities for their core network mobile and fixed service delivery platforms.
