NICE System Acquires Lamda Communication Networks

NICE Systems has announced that it has acquired Israel-based Lamda Communication Networks, a provider of satellite communications interception technology.

 

Lamda's technology addresses the growing demand for satellite communication interception capabilities. It also enables law enforcement, internal security, and intelligence agencies to fight crime and terror more effectively.

 

With the addition of Lamda's satellite communication interception technology, NICE expects to enhance its existing capabilities as well as complement the current offering of advanced applications such as monitoring, traffic analysis and voice analytics.

 

Moreover, the transaction is expected to further enhance the comprehensive NiceTrack solutions portfolio, which provides interception, delivery, monitoring, collection and advanced analysis of telecommunication interactions.

 

Israel Livnat, president of the NICE Security Group, said that the acquisition of Lamda strengthens "NICE's market leading position" and will enable the company to address the growing demand for satellite communications interception as part of the security solution deployment.

NICE is a provider of advanced solutions that enable enterprises and security organizations to extract Insight from Interactions, transactions and surveillance to drive business performance and ensure safety.

 

Earlier this year in March, the company announced its talks to acquire eGlue Software, a developer of real-time customer analysis technology, for approximately $30 million-$40 million.
