Skype Launches New iPhone Application with 3G Calling Functionality

Skype recently launched the new version of its iPhone (News - Alert) application which is available for download in the Apple App Store for users in Australia/ New Zealand. --Improved call quality indicator which will aid users to select the best moment to call
--Enhanced start-up time
--Quick access to dial pad from the home screen

The new version works with the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch and iPad. Skype is compatible only with iPhone OS version 3.0 and above.

Calling functionality is available on iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and 2nd generation iPod touch onwards. To use this feature, iPod touch is in need of a compatible headset with a microphone.
