VideoPort Releases Latest Videoconferencing Solution VideoPort VCS 3.0By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor VideoPort, a Russian company that offers video conferencing solutions to organizations, announced the release of a new product for videoconferences, VideoPort VCS 3.0. Company officials say VideoPort VCS is a follow-up to the SBS+/Enterprise product line representing the new generation of software servers for videoconferencing via Intranet or via the Web. The new conferencing solution is incorporated with comprehensive technological upgrades and new features taking into account users' requests. Network administrators can start using the product immediately through integration with a company's network services, the company said. When compared with other video conferencing software solutions integration costs are kept to a minimum. VideoPort VCS prevents server CPU overload because it has low channels requirements due to a unique video codec and transport levels. Important features of VideoPort VCS include remarkably convenient procedure of software server licensing and a flexible system of function selection. Users can now choose what features they really need, without overpaying for unnecessary ones. The company has put emphasis on improved efficiency and scalability of solutions based on VideoPort VCS for functional enhancements. Currently VideoPort technology is the basis for VZOchat service, which already supports about 1.2 million users worldwide. New features of VideoPort VCS 3.0 software support the maximum number of symmetric group conference participants, with the number of participants who can see each other has increased to 16; and the number of participants of a conference video-call now comprises 90. VideoPort VCS 3.0 software enables the users to change the layout of windows. For example, it helps users to zoom the window of a certain conference participant in one mouse-click. VideoPort VCS 3.0 provides chat history and a set of smileys. PowerPoint presentation import is now available in the demonstration mode. With the new videoconferencing solutions users are able to create any types of conferences in the client application, as well as to set the topic of group videoconferences. The automatic volume control is enhanced, as well as the sound in general. Last year, VideoPort released ZoomCall 5.5.6, its latest video conferencing service VideoPort Online! client application to improve desktop sharing performance and video meetings mode.
