ITEXPO: Sangoma and IndustryDynamics Partner to Enhance Communications for Education and Hospitality Verticals

In a bid to help increase customer service levels and expand the customer base of education and hospitality clients, an Ontario-based VoIP gateways provider today announced its partnership with IndustryDynamics.

 

Officials with Sangoma Technologies Corporation said that through their partnership,  IndustryDynamics will make use of Sangoma’s high-quality voice cards to provide connectivity through its VoiceGear Skype (News - Alert) communications platform.  

 

Sangoma’s cards connect the VoiceGear communications platform with legacy phone systems – which are still widely used in the hospitality and education sector.

 

According to Peter Litovsky, sales and marketing director for IndustryDynamics, their partnership with Sangoma helps to bridge TDM and legacy PBX (News - Alert) systems with Skype.

 

'This allows us to help our hotel and university clients create productive, convenient and cost-efficient communication mediums between them and their clients using Skype,' Litovsky said.

 

For the hospitality industry, where the need for travelers to cost-effectively communicate from their hotel rooms has become critical, VoiceGear gateways for Skype make click-to-call Skype calls possible through the hotel’s phone system.

 

In addition, hotels can increase customer experiences and loyalty by offering the ability to make and receive Skype calls right from their room phones and, using Skype, guests can also have global long distance communication absolutely free of charge.

 

In the education sector, with more and more students and teachers already using Skype on their laptops and computers, the addition of VoiceGear Skype solutions can help minimize expenses, enhance collaboration and promote participation for both faculty and students.
