Poland's PLAY Selects Tata for International Call RoutingBy Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributing Editor PLAY, a multimedia mobile phone operator in Poland, reportedly has selected Tata Communications to route the company’s international call traffic.
Officials at PLAY said they chose Tata’s voice termination product VTS Prime solution in order to manage customer call quality.
Tata Communications’ (News - Alert) VTS Prime allows mobile network operators to pass on the burden of ensuring high quality international call completion to a trusted partner. VTS Prime is designed as a one-stop-shop voice termination service that delivers the retail quality needed across the world to be a strong player in this market.
“We chose to work with Tata Communications because of their extensive network backbone and experience, which was well positioned to fully manage and support issues our company was facing as a start up operator,” said Piotr Kuriata, carrier relations director of PLAY, in a statement.
Kuriata said that Tata has consistently delivered services that allow PLAY to have access to the best quality suppliers and routes in the world. In turn, this allows the company to guarantee the customers top quality connection and completion, and allows PLAY to focus on retail business within Poland.
“Mobile operators need robust voice solutions that provide the highest levels of quality for their subscribers when making and receiving international calls both in their home country as well as when roaming abroad,” said Gaurav Anand, vice president of mobile voice services at Tata.
Anand said that Tata Communications provides premium and mobile to mobile voice services to PLAY that consistently deliver top quality and optimal customer calling experiences which allow Play to focus on its core business.
“We look forward to continuing to work with Play and contributing to their growth in the market,” he said.
Tata Communications, a member of the $62.5 billion Tata Group, is a global provider of a new world of communications.
