Geotech needed to converge its network to a secure WAN to streamline companywide operations after recent acquisitions and expansions. The MPLS Private Networks Transport is a single, private IP WAN infrastructure for support of managed Internet services for dedicated Internet access and reliability across AT&T’s Tier One IP backbone.
The IP telephony solution will offer a fully meshed environment, with the ability to monitor and reroute voice and data traffic for improved efficiency among company employees. The solutions will together provide increased network reliability and will also align with AT&T’s convergence strategy. This offers Geotech the flexibility and security to seamlessly integrate future communications technologies it chooses to adopt.
“With AT&T, we will increase our dedicated bandwidth and enhance our security, protecting our critical data applications on AT&T's VPN WAN infrastructure,” said Mike Pedrick, systems administrator, Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc. “In addition, the newly converged network provides expanded bandwidth to support future growth and will help reduce costs by streamlining both data and voice communications.”
