NTT WEST Adopts Mu Dynamics Test Suite for Testing IP ServicesBy Stefanie Mosca, TMCnet Web Editor Mu Dynamics, Inc. the leader in testing next-generation IP services has announced that NTT WEST, provider of telecommunications services in Japan, has adopted the Mu Test Suite for testing its IP services. Service edge routers and residential gateways for wired services were among the devices being tested. The Research and Development Center of NTT (News - Alert) WEST adopted the Mu Test Suite to ensure its residential gateway services are properly functioning and secure in real world environments. "NTT WEST is recognized worldwide as an innovator," said Dave Kresse (News - Alert), CEO of Mu Dynamics. "By using the Mu Test Suite to test their residential gateway, NTT WEST further cements its reputation as an organization that delivers high quality, leading edge services to the market place." According to the release, NTT WEST selected Mu Dynamics (News - Alert) due to its unique testing approach. The Mu Test Suite is capable of leveraging actual traffic from the service provider's environment to create test scenarios and auto-generate thousands of tailored test cases. "As one of the largest providers of communication and Internet services in Japan, using innovative technologies to proactively test our services is a critical part of our delivery lifecycle," said Mr. Takagi (News - Alert) director of Research and Development Center at NTT WEST. "The Mu Test Suite is instrumental in helping us ensure the reliability and security of our residential gateway services.
