Transwestern Selects XO Communications for Nationwide Wide Area Network Solution

Transwestern, one of the largest privately-held commercial real estate organizations in the United States, has selected XO Communications to provide a wide area networking solution connecting 26 locations across the United States.

Officials with XO Communication said that the company will deploy a fully managed private wide area networking solution connecting Transwestern's private cloud to 26 commercial locations across the country in eleven states.

Company officials said that the XO MPLS IP-VPN solution will provide Transwestern with a secure, private IP network with Class of Service capabilities to support optimal performance for Internet access, critical business applications, video conferencing, voice-over-IP and email, while driving a more efficient communications infrastructure across the company.

Besides this, XO Communications (News - Alert) would provide high-speed dedicated Internet access and voice services to Transwestern.

"We turned to XO Communications because of its reach and expertise in delivering high-performance WAN solutions for enterprises of our size," said Eugene Kesselman, chief information officer of Transwestern, in a statement.

Kesselman said that with locations nationwide, the organisation needed a provider that could support all of its locations for all services, which helps to simplify network management for the organisation’s offices and properties.

“In addition, their ability to combine Dedicated Internet Access and Private Network services over a single integrated access circuit to each location truly differentiated the XO solution,” he said.
