Mountain West Telecom Achieves Highest Level of Avaya Services Certification

By Sujata Garud, TMCnet Contributor

Mountain West Telecom, a global systems integrator, has received Services Expert Certification from Avaya (News - Alert), a leading global provider of business communications systems, software and services. In addition to Avaya, Mountain West Telecom holds numerous certifications and partnerships that include network support services for Nortel, Cisco (News - Alert), Microsoft, HP and others.

In a press release, Mountain West Telecom’s president, Jeffrey Pitts, said, “The Services Expert designation confirms Mountain West Telecom has the infrastructure, process and proven methodology to support Avaya customers at every level.”

The certification proves that Mountain West Telecom has demonstrated the skills and qualifications needed to proficiently deliver the full range of implementation and communications support services to Avaya customers. Under the Services Expert program, Mountain West Telecom achieved the Support Specialist and Integration Expert designations, the highest level of Avaya services certification.

Avaya completed an on-site service assessment to prove infrastructure, process and systems are in place within Mountain West Telecom to provide effective implementation and support services to Avaya Enterprise Communications, Unified Communications, Unified Messaging and Contact Center customers. The Avaya Services Expert program has four areas of designation, including Implementation Specialist for Authorized Avaya channel partners, Implementation Professional for services-only channel partners, and Support Specialist and Integration Expert for Platinum-, Gold- and Silver-certified Avaya channel partners.

Mountain West Telecom recently upgraded its Network Operations Center (NOC (News - Alert)), a carrier, data monitoring and management service. The NOC is a data and communications hub that continuously monitors, tests and diagnoses all facets of a company’s communications network.

Recently, Avaya is in TMC (News - Alert) news when the company created its DevConnect (News - Alert) program. Avaya DevConnect is designed to ensure that any solutions accepted into the program will interoperate seamlessly with Avaya solutions. As a Gold member of the Avaya DevConnect program, Zeacom (News - Alert) offers a full line of unified communications and call center software that integrates with Avaya’s server solutions.
