Virtual Faxing Is Increasingly Popular Says Virtual PBX Provider Nextiva

By Ed Silverstein, TMCnet Web Editor

Traditional fax may be waning but virtual faxing is increasingly popular. Yaniv Masjedi of Nextiva said that virtual faxing is experiencing enormous growth in diverse sectors over diverse devices.

Among the most popular sectors switching over to virtual faxing from the more traditional fax machines are: law firms, real estate offices, health care, medical offices, hospitals, financial services, and the mortgage industry.

“We see a large number of small businesses throughout the United States sign up for fax service on a daily basis,” Masjedi added.

He said just look at the numbers: A small business may spend between $30 and $100 a month on traditional fax. There are charges for upkeep and phone company services, as well as paper, inkjet and ink.

With virtual fax services, the expenses can be less than $10 a month, according to Masjedi.

“The growth in popularity has been very impressive,” Masjedi said.

Each day people are switching from traditional fax service over to virtual faxing – including small businesses which are home-based all the way over to enterprises.

Masjedi said that Nextiva supports fax service in North America, but he sees a lot of virtual fax usage, even overseas.

With Nextiva vFAX all you need is an Internet connection in order to send and receive faxes. Their online fax service is easy to use, affordable (as low as $6.95 a month) and offers flexibility. There are no paper jams, system errors, or busy signals, as with older type of fax services. Nextiva's online fax service lets users fax by email, via Microsoft (News - Alert) Office, from an online control panel, or continue sending faxes through a current fax machine with a Nextiva fax adapter. Faxing online is convenient and users will never miss another fax, the company said.

It allows users to:

Send a fax from anywhere with Internet access. Fax from your office, home, or cell phone.

Send and receive faxes from Microsoft applications.

Instead of hitting the print button, simply select "fax" right from Word, Excel, etc.

Send and receive by cell phone. Fax from an iPhone (News - Alert), Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile, and Palm.
