CSI Offers Call Monitoring to NEC Telephony Customers

CSI presents a powerful set of call monitoring options for NEC (News - Alert) telephony customers.




Virtual Observer supports the NEC platform and offers a robust recording option for companies running legacy and current NEC systems.

Virtual Observer also can work with NEC CTI (News - Alert) for the NEC environment, leveraging many CTI features such as 'Call start', ANI, DNIS, 'Call Transfer', 'Call Disconnect', and 'Call Abandon', among other data options, to present a powerful business case for NEC call recording and quality monitoring.

In related NEC news, NEC recently announced that it has established an NEC Biometrics Excellence Center in Bangalore, India. The center has been established by NEC with an aim to accelerate the expansion of its global multimodal identification solutions and integrated security solutions business.

In other related NEC news, NEC has announced the development of a video content identification technology that detects illegal copies of video content uploaded to the Internet in a matter of seconds.

This technology generates a fingerprint (video signature) to identify video content then compares video signatures to the signatures of original content in order to detect copies or altered versions. Therefore, altered video content, such as caption overlays, camera captured copies and analog copies, can be quickly and accurately detected.

And late last year NEC introduced four new 8-bit LCD microcontrollers, or "MCUs." Scheduled for availability in January 2010, all the new MCUs feature an integrated 'Metrology Engine', which provides energy measurement and management functions for smart electricity meters.
