RP310 Softphone for Microsoft Response Point Phone Systems Now AvailableBy Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor Quanta Computer (News - Alert) has announced the release of its new RP310 Softphone for Microsoft Response Point Phone Systems. With this release comes the news that the Syspine (News - Alert) Digital Operator Phone System is now more powerful and easier for small businesses with up to 50 employees to use.
With the RP310 Softphone, users can fully leverage the benefits of VoIP communications through the use of a laptop or PC. This device supports standard, USB and Bluetooth headsets/handsets.
To use the RP310 Softphone, users simply connect a laptop to the company’s LAN or network through a VPN, launch the application and create a virtual phone extension within the Response Point PBX (News - Alert). The RP310 Softphone is used just like any other Syspine 310 desktop IP phone at an office desk. Created for ease of use and cost-savings, the RP310 Softphone also offers seamless integration with the features of the Syspine Microsoft (News - Alert) Response Point. Quanta promises the same user-friendly experience with the RP310 Softphone as it does with the Syspine desktop IP310 phone. The phone is positioned as offering the right fit for part time and backup office staff who may not have a physical phone or office, but need access to incoming call pop-up screens, caller ID information and virtual mailbox applications. Remote workers are also expected to benefit from sharing the Unified Communications (News - Alert) features that are provided with the Response Point, including voice mail to mail, voice dialing of contacts in Outlook and external call forwarding of calls. Syspine Response Point and the unique Syspine RP310 Softphone ensure customers and your employees can stay connected while the organization enjoys many of the cost saving benefits of VoIP technology. “Syspine is recognized for delivering unique VOIP communications solutions designed for ease of use, reliability and affordability,” Robert Gordon, Director of Syspine, said. “Our products are sold and supported by a coast to coast network of experienced Syspine Partners who can deliver valuable phone system installation, IT consultation and network managed services for our growing base of small business users.”
Gordon also said that the RP310 Softphone is only one example of the complementary products the company plans on delivering to the Response Point marketplace. This latest announcement will help to extend the implementation of Syspine phones beyond standard desktops and office integration. By providing companies with a phone that meets their needs in and out of the office, Quanta is sure to generate additional demand and grow its overall share. Quanta is set to receive a boost as eOn announcedlast week that it will resell the Quanta Syspine version of the Microsoft Response Point system. The IP PBX, called eOn Office Solutions, targets smaller businesses of up to 50 users and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Response Point software on the Syspine IP PBX. The company announced this time last year that TeleDynamics became a distributor of the Syspine Digital Operator Phone System. The news of this partnership helped to boost market appeal and reach for both companies. Susan J. Campbell is a contributing editor for TMCnet and has also written for eastbiz.com.
