CallFire's Improved Answering Machine Detection TechnologyBy Jessica Kostek, TMCnet Channel Editor Whether your running a campaign or trying to keep ever soccer mom on you child’s team informed CallFire can help. Just use their Voice Broadcasting service to record your message and they will do the rest.
CallFire’s Voice Broadcast gives users the ability to have press-1 and answering machine campaigns, pay only 3.5 cents per minute or less, per line, send thousands of phone calls simultaneously and generate hundreds of transfers per hour!
However, CallFire just announced that their Answering Machine Detection (AMD (News - Alert)) just got a little better! Working with schools, emergency service companies, and automobile dealerships CallFire improved upon their detection algorithm.
When your campaigns use a sound file longer than 15 seconds, CallFire automatically switches to the newer engine. Here’s what changed:
Old AMD:
CallFire would listen to the customer as they picked up the phone. During the first few seconds, AMD decides whether it’s listening to an answering machine, voicemail box, or live person. In the case of an answering machine or a voicemail, CallFire AMD would wait until after the beep and leave your recorded message.
New AMD:
While playing your message, AMD listens for a voicemail or answering machine. Any such indication will interrupt the playback of the live answer message, and start the answering machine message after the beep. To ensure accuracy, CallFire’s AMD engine requires a 15 second message, or longer, to make it’s decision.
CallFire officials say that in some cases, the accuracy of Answering Machine detection jumped to 95 percent compared to the 90 percent accuracy in prior revisions of CallFire’s AMD.
