Optaros Takes Open Source CRM In-House

In a bid to further improve data automation and business processes for their clients, Optaros, an assembler of Next Generation Internet (NGI) applications, has announced it deployed SugarCRM (News - Alert) in-house.

 

The deployment of SugarCRM open source CRM software provides the company with an enhanced revenue model as well as a new forecasting module, all without the huge expenses associated with proprietary CRM solutions.

 

In addition, Optaros, a SugarCRM consultant and Gold Partner, is able to better capture leads and ensure that they are addressed because the solution captures every request for information and assigns it to sales accordingly.

The two company's also work together to provide companies like WonderBox, a European retailer, with customized implementations that help improve workflows.

 

The company implemented SugarCRM with their Web content management system, Drupal, and now has an even better perspective for presenting their clients with ways to improve business processes.

 

"It saves time, has cut our chances of lost leads to nearly zero, and has given us all the functionality we need without the huge expense of a non-open source CRM solution," said Thomas Lundqvist, CRM/self-service practice lead at Optaros.

Earlier this year, Optaros announced it closed $12 million in Series C financing co-led by .406 Ventures and Globespan Capital Partners. According to the company, the $12 million investment provides capital for continued expansion into new geographic markets and the introduction of new offerings.

 

Just last week, SugarCRM also made headlines with the announcement that Bright House Networks and Broadcore (News - Alert) have chosen to implement the Sugar Enterprise offering on-site.
