By Raja Singh Chaudhary, TMCnet Contributor

Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless, a company that offers wireless voice and data network services and Motorola, a company that provides a wide range of telecommunication solutions, have announced a partnership to launch the new Motorola (News - Alert) Entice W766 mobile phone handset.

Displaying a classic flip design coupled with large and bright displays, the new W766 mobile phone makes for easy reading, and also offers one-touch access to various features such as a music player, camera and speakerphone. The extensive 3G network of Verizon Wireless powers this modern mobile phone, that lets the customers make data downloads and transfers quickly and reliably in more places.

The phone has got a built-in 2.0 megapixel camera and camcorder, and an external detachable memory of up to 8 GB can be added to it through the microSD card slot. You can connect the Motorola Entice W766 to your PC, laptop or Mac computer through a wired USB 2.0 connection, which also offers Bluetooth connectivity via A2DP, HSP and HFP profiles.

Apart from featuring a host of connectivity and data communication services, the new Motorola phone also offers various Life Style services. These services include VZ Navigator, Family Locator, Mobile Email and Mobile IM. Also, the phone provides unique services known as the Dashboard Backup Assistant, through which a consumer is able to keep a copy of the phone's address book on a secure website. Further, if the phone gets lost or damaged, all the contacts saved in the address book can be retrieved via the secure website.

The W766 displays the text messages in a new IM-style, showing the messages as text trails by contacts, which lets the consumer have a feel of a natural conversation with the people in contact book.

The Motorola Entice W766 will be made available online since the 22nd of September 2009. Initially, the company is offering a $50 discount at the handset, making it available at a price of $39.99. A two-year customer agreement is being offered with the phone.

Later this month, the mobile phone will be put on sale in the Verizon Wireless Communications Stores at the same price. The customers will get a $50 mail in rebate at the Verizon Wireless stores, wherein they will be handed over a debit card worth $50. After making the purchase, they will be able to use this debit card as any other normal debit card, to enjoy the $50 rebate.

Verizon Wireless, with a customer base of 87.7 million customers is a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone (News - Alert). In recent news, the company took a unique initiative for making the parents more aware about choosing the right mobile phone for their kids.
