Michigan State University Intros Online Ed Tech Doctorate Program

By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor

Michigan State University is making it a little easier for some students, especially working professionals, to earn their doctorate degree.

The university is now offering an online option as part of its Ph.D. program in educational technology, according to a news report.

School officials said the new program is designed for people who want to continue working while pursuing their doctorates.  The program, which will combine online coursework with summer classes on campus, will take students four to five years to complete, MSU officials said.

The College of Education is now accepting student applications. Classes are scheduled to start in June.
