For years, the company has been involved in providing clinicians and hospital administrators with the ability to electronically document and retrieve complete patient, departmental workflow, and syndromic surveillance data from America’s Emergency Departments and Urgent Care Clinics in Real-Time.
Jordan Davis, CEO of Emergisoft, said that mobile technology for physicians is going to help transform the traditional relationships between patients and their health care providers.
"The Emergisoft iPhone Simulator promotes the importance of patient-physician interaction," Davis said.
According to company officials, the Emergisoft iPhone Simulator will enable medical personnel to easily record critical information at once and then can be made accessible online to all other authorized personnel’s to edit and view it.
In addition, physicians can also customize the configurations of the mobile charting interface while eliminating the need for paper forms filing or scanning and increases efficiency and in the Emergency Department. With the mobility and flexibility of the Emergisoft Simulator, the physician can focus more on patient care, says the company.
Three generations of the EDIS have been developed, implemented and supported with an expansive customer base of single and multi-hospital systems across North America with annual emergency visits ranging from 15,000 to over 300,000.
Company officials said that the Emergency Department Software provides access to real-time clinical and administrative information, which can be used to streamline workflow, drive process improvements, optimize outcomes and supports regulatory compliance across the entire emergency department.
