Firethorn Announces Reseller Relationship with Fifth Third Processing Solutions

Mobile commerce enabler Firethorn Holdings, LLC, has entered into an agreement with Fifth Third Processing Solutions to bring mobile banking services to its 2,880 financial institutions.
 
Using existing integration and connectivity to deploy Firethorn’s mobile application, Fifth Third Processing Solutions will offer Firethorn’s products to its processing financial institution clients, according to the companies.
 
Clients such as Fifth Third Processing Solutions are expected gain the advantage of preferred placement of their brands on the wireless handset, as Firethorn says it’s a preferred mobile commerce enabler among many of the nation’s mobile network operators. The Move is expected to drive adoption of the wireless handsets.



 
Fifth Third customers can now check account balances, view transaction details and transfer funds with the help of Firethorn’s mobile banking solution. Also, end-users will gain access to their account history and can make account balance inquiries through SMS. The company plans to include more advanced mobile transactions and mobile commerce in the near future.

As Firethorn collaborates with Fifth Third Processing Solutions, the company can provide relevant content conveniently on the customers’ mobile devices in a secure, easy-to-use application. Also, Fifth Third’s 20 million cardholders and numerous other financial institutions can now carry on traditional and non-traditional transactions with the help of the Jeanie Network, and with direct connection to other debit and credit card networks.
 
Fifth Third Processing Solutions sees this relationship as more than reselling Firethorn’s products. The company believes that this is an opportunity to use the best aspects of both organizations’ domain experience. The company says it’s looking to gain momentum in this growing industry with this relationship.
