TelStrat Selected for Membership in Avaya DevConnect Program

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

TelStrat, a global supplier of comprehensive contact center solutions, business call recording products and leading-edge access network systems has today announced that it has been selected by Avaya Inc., a global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, for membership in the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program.

The developer of the Engage Contact Center Suite, TelStrat has built its reputation on the success of this solution. The Engage Contact Center Suite is an application family that combines TelStrat’s award-winning call recording technology with an array of best practice product technologies from across the contact center industry. In doing so, it can yield an integrated, single-source, total contact center solution.

A modular, component-based product line, it is designed so each element augments and enhances the next. As such, an organization can start with call recording and add capabilities as their needs change.

Engage effectively blends full-featured voice and screen recording; intuitive agent performance evaluation, tracking and coaching; powerful agent scripting and call automation; and sophisticated workforce forecasting and scheduling.

These capabilities mean that virtually any size organization will be able to capture complete customer interaction, maximize agent performance, and streamline workforce management through an affordable, easy-to-implement solution.

The Avaya (News - Alert) DevConnect program was designed to promote the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions.

"Membership in Avaya's developer community will help us build our business by serving customers more efficiently and effectively," said Kevin Smith, President of TelStrat, in a Friday statement.

"Building on Avaya resources and working more closely with the company to deliver compliance-tested solutions to the market, we are able to bring Avaya customers sophisticated capabilities that integrate flawlessly, deploy easily, and offer them maximum value for their money."

With this program Avaya provides a number of tools and capabilities to member companies. One example is Application Enablement Services (AES) - a set of application programming interfaces, protocols and Web services that makes it easier for developers to create Avaya-compatible networks, devices and applications.

"With the involvement of companies like TelStrat, our Avaya developer community has become a catalyst for rapid innovation - creating multi-vendor applications that help enterprises around the world unleash powerful new possibilities for operating more efficiently and effectively," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya, in the Friday statement.

"We help businesses embed secure, reliable Intelligent Communications into the very fabric of their organization so employees and customers have ready access to information regardless of where they are and how they prefer to communicate."

Member companies in the DevConnect program have access to a wide range of support from Avaya that includes technical resources and training. Free Registered membership is available to anyone interested in designing Avaya-compatible solutions.

Avaya has built a strong reputation within the contact center and solutions industry, making it a powerful player. To receive membership into the DevConnect program, a company can extend its own reach by building on the success of the Avaya brand. For customers, they can be assured that solution they select from members will work within their Avaya environment.
