Orange Picks GENBAND to Deliver SIP-based CommunicationBy Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor Orange Business Services (News - Alert) – Trading Solutions announced the selection of GENBAND for the delivery of an end-to-end SIP-based communication toolkit for its MPLS-based network that provides services for electronic and voice trading. GENBAND (News - Alert) develops IP infrastructure and service solutions. Its A2 Converged Application Server has been chosen for the migration to SIP technology for enriching the Trading Community Services portfolio and also improving the communication experience for customers using Orange Business Services - Trading Solutions’ TCSnet, said company sources. The A-Series Applications Portfolio from GENBAND offers a suite of unified communications or UC functions and enhanced service customization over multiple IP access networks. These applications are expected to provide speed advantages, accuracy, business agility and quick returns on investment. Also the GENBAND A2 carrier-grade technology will enable Orange Business Services - Trading Solutions to deliver reliable communication services to their clients. It is capable of reducing economic impact of disasters by minimizing network downtime and providing greater disaster recovery capabilities. It includes NetRecova, which re-routes private lines to a back-up site, enabling quick resumption of electronic and voice trading.
