FLASHbrief Launches New IP-Based Emergency Notification System

FLASHbrief, LLC today claimed that it will launch the nation’s newest Internet-based emergency notification system at a school, “FLASHbrief for Schools 2.0.”
With the new system, company officials say, it’s easier to notify an unlimited number of students, their parents, school staff and faculty about an impending severe weather. They can also be immediately notified of terrorist activity, Amber Alerts and temporary street closures, according to the company.
FLASHbrief for Schools lets every public or private school systems or campus officials to send nearly instant, emergency or advisory alerts to every school system or campus computer with the help of an Internet communication protocol, officials say. The alerts can also be sent computer of every student, parent, staff and faculty member with a broadband Internet connection, both at work or home, according to the company.
According to Lawrence Jones, chief executive officer of FLASHbrief, “Administrators of schools and colleges across America finally have a truly affordable, lightning fast means of sending students, parents, staff and faculty member throughout the community emergency or advisory information. What they need to know when they need to know it. This new ability to alert within seconds of dangerous or life-altering events has ushered in a new era in effective, mass alert notification for America’s educational communities.”
