Ifbyphone Helps Telemarketers Comply with New FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule

Ifbyphone has announced that it has begun to deploy enhanced tools that are designed to make compliance with the New Federal Trade Commission Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR (News - Alert)) even easier. Given the cost associated with following every rule and regulation in the industry, these tools are likely to be met with anticipation and quick demand.



 
Telemarketing customers will benefit from the new Ifbyphone (News - Alert) enhancements as the offerings include a default recording of the required opt-out message, the ability to customize that recording and a pre-packaged solution for accepting opt-out telephone calls, thereby ensuring compliance with the new rule.

Ifbyphone is the first company to announce full conformity with the Telemarketing Sales Rule. This first-to-market launch is sure to help drive widespread acceptance and adoption as the company will be setting the standard and delivering the necessary solution to meet a growing need.

The Telemarketing Sales Rule was announced on August 29 of this year and was enacted to give consumers more control over which parties have permission to contact them via outbound telemarketing. When the rule was announced, the FTC (News - Alert) had given telemarketing companies and telephony solutions companies until December 1 to develop and deploy a solution.
