The ability to cash your check while at the grocery store is an added convenience for shoppers. Now, new biometric technologies are letting people cash their checks quicker, and with only the swipe of a finger.
Paycheck Secure, a biometric fingerprint solution, has been provided to Lowe's Pay and Save Inc. stores in the Texas panhandle and into New Mexico by Pay By Touch, provider of biometric authentication, payment solutions and personalized rewards.
Fingerprint biometrics scan an individual's unique fingerprint to match with on-file originals for secure access and identification.
To sign up for the biometric check-cashing, shoppers need only enroll at the store once using their Photo ID, 2 finger scans and a digital photo taken at the store. After that, anytime shoppers would like to cash their checks, they need only scan their finger to be properly identified.
This adds a heightened level of security for shoppers who wont have to constantly take their ID's out and run the risk of losing or having it stolen, and for shop owners, it provides security against fraud and allows them to offer check cashing to their customers at a more reasonable rate, a recent news release noted.
"Paycheck Secure provides my customers a new level of convenience and discretion," says Roger Lowe, Jr., CEO of Lowe's Pay and Save, Inc. in a statement to the press.
"I can provide better customer service by knowing my shoppers without having to hassle them for their ID. Paycheck Secure creates a sense of trust and privacy which makes customers want to come to my store more often," also commented Lowe.
