CSS Selects EntryGuard from FaceKey to Implement Control in Real Estate Call Centers

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

FaceKey Corporation, a manufacturer of biometric security products utilizing fingerprint and/or facial recognition, announced that Centralized Showing Service, Inc., an around-the-clock call center headquartered in Lenexa, KS, has selected the EntryGuard fingerprint-based time and attendance system and access control system for several of its Real Estate Call Centers.

According to Ken Faherty, Vice President of Centralized Showing Service, Inc., (CSS (News - Alert)), the major reason for selecting FaceKey fingerprint based time clocks and access control products was to improve efficiency and free the staff to help Realtors sell their clients’ homes.

CSS currently schedules more than 15 million showings per year and serves more than 100,000 Realtors in 40 markets across the U.S. As all FaceKey products use the same database of users, a company that has a time clock can quickly install additional FaceKey security products without further activity from employees.

An immediate reduction in labor costs was realized by CSS due to the accuracy of the time clocks. Faherty emphasized that FaceKey has worked diligently with CSS to customize payroll benefits that fit their specific operation.

Yevgeny Levitov, President and Co-Founder of FaceKey noted in a Monday statement, "Our priority is to produce industry-leading products that provide genuine identification for superior security and save the customer money. CSS with its call centers is the largest company of its kind and prides itself on providing high-quality personalized service.”

Levitov continued: “While working with CSS, FaceKey has realized that the EntryGuard system is a perfect fit for the needs of call centers. Because the time clocks require only the touch of the employee's fingerprint to accurately record the employee's time at work, the system permits call center managers to control labor costs, their largest expense item.”

“We anticipate that the knowledge we have gained in working with a growing company such as CSS, with multiple call centers, will give FaceKey an entry into a new niche in the security industry," Levitov added.

FaceKey is a development stage company that has built a portfolio of patents related to fingerprint and/or facial recognition. Applications for both home and business include access control, accurate and reliable time and attendance systems, and crisis evacuation (muster) stations.

This implementation by CSS of the EntryGuard is an interesting approach to internal control for a contact center. While it could easily be considered a way for CSS to micro-manage its employees, it could also be seen as an innovative approach to capturing necessary information without interfering with the agents’ duties while they are trying to serve the customer.
