Telefonica O2 has announced new tariffs for the iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G. The company is offering all iPad data tariffs without a long contract.
Under the new data tariff, users will also get unlimited access to BT (News - Alert) Openzone and The Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots at no additional cost.
Through this plan, Apple and O2 provide a breakthrough way to easily activate, manage and monitor an account right on iPad, company officials said.
Customers will be notified as they approach their data limit with a direct link to iPad settings to check data usage, top up the account and upgrade or cancel their tariff.
Using iPad, users can connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before. iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface allow users to browse the Web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, the company said.
These iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G models are just 0.5 inches thick and weigh just 1.6 pounds and deliver up to 10 hours of battery life for surfing the Web on Wi-Fi. They can be used for watching videos or listening to music, and offers up to nine hours of Internet surfing using a 3G data network.
“We are truly excited to provide service for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G,” Sally Cowdry, O2’s marketing director, said. “We’ve worked closely with Apple (News - Alert) to make sure customers get an excellent experience when using their iPad Wi-Fi + 3G on O2.”
“Not only will it be quick and easy to buy value for money data access from the device, but customers will also benefit from our overall, award-winning service wrap which includes great network and great customer service and the added benefit of access to thousands of public Wi-Fi hotspots,” Cowdry said.
O2 supports iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G giving customers the freedom and control to switch on or off mobile data as best suits their needs, directly on the device.
O2 micro sim packs for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G is available through O2 retail stores and O2’s Web site.
The company offers different data pricing plans as 500MB, 1GB and 3GB. All tariffs include unlimited access to BT Openzone and The Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots, and they do not require minimum contract.
According to a recent announcement, O2 will launch the new DellStreak handheld computer in Europe next month. The Streak is an Android-based device that Dell (News - Alert) showed at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
