Ruckus Wireless ( News - Alert) has been selected for their Smart Wi-Fi products and technology by SuperClick, a provider of IP infrastructure management solutions to the hospitality industry.
Ruckus Wireless' ZoneFlex Smart Wireless LAN (WLAN ) system will be used to replace under-performing wireless networks already installed, as well as for new Wi-Fi installations at select hotels.
SuperClick, provides and manages Internet access infrastructure for more than 600 hotels and over 110,000 rooms throughout North America.
SuperClick chose Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi because of its ability to deliver better coverage and performance with fewer access points and because it offered, "reliable signal propagation; centralized network, configuration and security management; plug-and-play installation and deployment; and wireless meshing that allows for access point placement in hard-to-reach areas with no additional wiring or cabling," SuperClick President and CEO Sandro Natale pointed out.
"The number one complaint hotels hear from guests is that Wi-Fi connectivity is terrible," said Natale. "Amidst huge demand for wireless access, mid-sized hotels, in particular, are struggling to deliver a Wi-Fi system that is both cost-effective and reliable. Most systems can't scale to provide service to every square inch of space without deploying an inordinate number of access points. Ruckus solves this problem, giving hotels an ideal way to blanket the entire property with solid, stable Wi-Fi connectivity using fewer access points."
By upgrading their infrastructures to the Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi system, SuperClick is also able to provide hotel clients located anywhere on hotel property with a richer, uninterrupted online experience and the ability to leverage the network for next-generation IP-based services, such as high definition IPTV , voice over Wi-Fi, security surveillance and inter-employee communications.
"The Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi system is a great asset to SuperClick's business and customers," said Natale. "It's a great way for us to save clients a lot of money while setting them up with a next-generation wireless network that will keep their guests coming back again and again."
