Alert) Mobile Broadband network thanks to new integration of Sprint Mobile capabilities into several HP business notebook PCs.
To enhance the on-the-go experience for the mobile worker, and offer wireless connections at broadband speeds, the two companies have come together and will jointly market HP business notebooks capable of faster data speeds and that make use of the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network, including data speeds provided by 3G
EV-DO Rev. A technology.
For mobile workers, the improved connection speeds mean they can utilize email and the Internet without having to be tied to a wireless hotspot
, as well as be prepared for new applications and services as they are available.
"HP is working with a mobility pioneer such as Sprint to further drive richer and more pervasive on-the-go computing," said Ann Avery, product manager, Commercial Notebooks - North America, Personal Systems Group, HP in a statement.
"Businesses of all sizes are looking for speedy, convenient connectivity to the people and information that is most important to them and our broad portfolio of wireless business notebooks together with the extensive speed and coverage of the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network delivers."
The new HP business notebook PCs with integrated Sprint Mobile Broadband service, are expected to be available starting in October. The companies also announced that for a limited time, customers who purchase a new integrated notebook, can receive a free month of Sprint Mobile Broadband service when they sign up for a one- or two-year service agreement.
