McDonald's has announced that its Belgium restaurants have chosen free-hotspot.com to offer FREE Wi-Fi in their restaurants.
Through this offer, McDonald's customers will not only enjoy the food but will also be able to surf the Web, check their email, download music, play online games and use the Internet as they would at home or in their office.
"We have adopted this FREE Wi-Fi service to meet the changing needs of our clientele," said Kristof Vanonckelen, IT Manager of McDonald's Belgium in a statement to the press. "As the Internet comes to play a larger role in our everyday lives, more and more people are looking for ways to go online while away from home," he added. "McDonald's Belgium is committed to actively responding to the input we receive from our customers and our franchisees, and offering FREE Wi-Fi is one more example of that commitment."
The McDonald's decision was praised by Joe Brunoli, Vice President of HotSpot Market Development for free-hotspot.com. "McDonald's is a worldwide market leader, and this latest initiative shows why they continue to set the standard in their industry," he said.
