Threat Dynamics IVR-100 and IVR-300 to Improve Law Enforcement Training

Virtual training solutions make it possible to reach a larger group with the information and skills they need to perform tasks.

With virtual training its also possible to reach people who may have never had access to these skills before and permits people to learn at their own pace.

Now, law enforcement personnel can use virtual training courses to improve their response in real threat scenarios thanks to a partnership between Threat Dynamics and VirTra Systems.

VirTra Systems provides firearm simulators for both law enforcement and military customers so they can train in real-time and save more lives.

Together with Threat Dynamics, a new advanced firearm use-of-force training facility for law enforcement personnel will be opened to provide professionals with exposure to ViTra’s technologies.

The use of virtual training scenarios can help departments to save on the costs for training and improve how personnel respond should real-life threats occur.

The first Threat Dynamics regional training facility will be located in Hillsboro, Oregon and is privately funded.

The facility will house one of Threat Dynamics IVR-300 simulators and two of their IVR-100 simulators. VirTra will also be providing their immersive firearms training systems for the facility.

Along with flat-screens for the training sessions, the offerings also provide real situations and environments to be experienced. This includes the ability to issue commands to trainees and changes scenarios as needed.

The success of this first virtual training facility will also determine the opening of an additional 11 facilities planned for the U.S.

“We have spent over 16 months intensely researching the concept, talking to potential customers, testing equipment and refining the business plan for this venture. I believe we have picked the right partner in VirTra. Together we will provide a valuable and desperately needed service to the brave men and women in uniform,” said Scot Laney, Co-founder of ITWorks LLC.
