The Internet of Things (IoT) is moving beyond mere projections and forecasts, and this notion of billions of connected devices helping to make our lives better, the enterprise more efficient, and the customer experience more personalized and satisfying, is as tangible as ever. Hammering this point home is an announcement made today at Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) from IoT connectivity solution provider Stream technologies.
Stream Technoligies is the newest member of the ThingWorx Ready Partner program, integrating its award-winning IoT-X platform with the ThingWorx IoT platform to enable faster time to market and minimize development costs. Both providers realize the value in a collaborative ecosystem approach to best further IoT adoption and development.
“Combining these two sets of technologies is truly ground breaking,” said Nigel Chadwick, CEO of Stream Technologies (News - Alert). “Together we are moving one giant leap toward an ‘out-of-the-box’ offering for a staggering number and variety of enterprises that have business and industrial processes relying on connected sensors and devices.”
The IoT-X is a technology agnostic connectivity solution that offers end users unparalleled transparency into its connected environment. Recently, the solution was dubbed by ABI Research’s (News - Alert) report “Hot Tech Innovators” as one of the most disruptive technologies to hit the IoT market in years.”
“As leaders in our respective platform based technologies, ThingWorx and Stream together are disrupting and challenging the status quo by eliminating the significant fragmentation within the IoT sector,” said Chris Kuntz, VP, IoT Ecosystems, ThingWorx, a PTC business. “We’re excited to have Stream Technologies join the ThingWorx Ready Partner program to help accelerate the enablement of dynamic IoT applications.”
Today there is no question in regard to if a connected future is on the way; the more apt question is when. The benefits offered are a growing list that includes expanded awareness, efficiency and productivity made possible by all of these “things.”
The two industry pioneers will be offering Mobile World Congress attendees the opportunity to experience a live demonstration of this partnership’s potential.
