The future of 10-Gigabit Ethernet, a telecommunication technology that offers data speeds up to 10 billion bits per second, will be discussed within a group of industry luminaries at Interop (News - Alert).
This evening reception and speaker forum will take place in the Palm Room and Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM on April 27, and has been organized by Teranetics, a provider of 10GBASE-T physical layer solutions.
The company has also introduced its 40nm 10GBase-T PHY, data center equipment that enables vendors to incorporate 10-Gigabit Ethernet connectivity into switches, adapters, and LAN on motherboards with dense, power-efficient designs.
Participants of this event will discuss the rise of 10-Gigabit Ethernet in the data center and how and where it can be applied.
In addition, the panel of the speakers will include: Sanjay Kasturia, Teranetics; Jag Bolaria, The Linley Group; Dave Chalupsky, Intel; Rupesh Chakkingal, Cisco; Valerie Maguire, Siemon; and, John Monson, Mellanox (News - Alert).
The new generation of low-power, 40nm 10GBase-T PHY solutions, switch and NIC vendors, with the latest cutting edge technology can offer the performance of 10-Gigabit Ethernet with Ethernet's traditional ease of use and without extreme power requirements.
