By Vivek Naik, TMCnet Contributor
LG Electronics recently put on display a dozen smart technologies, aesthetically pleasing, brand new, High Definition TV (HDTV) product lines. Of the twelve, 3 are plasma models and the balance 9 are LCD types, with each series having monitors ranging from large, 60 inches to nominal 19 inch sizes.
Most of the latest technologies and customer demanded features are built into these TV’s. A few examples including Light Emitting Diode (LED) Backlighting which permits the TV to be 1 inch slim and enhances picture quality as well as TruMotion 240Hz which eliminates motion blur by controlling the back light functioning, wireless capabilities and Audio Video (AV) Cinema Mode which preserves original content and balances images.
Also, an AV Sports Mode accentuates colors and eliminates motion blur during speed relate displays while Invisible Speakers disguised as the front bezel provide surround sound and an Intelligent Sensor feature constantly gauges the room temperature and light intensity and adjusts the picture suitably, among a number of other functionalities.
Two of the new Plasma series introduced by LG include a Broadband HDTV that showcases their NetCast Entertainment Access which is Internet connectable and features almost instant streaming (a 30 to 40 seconds delay) of videos available from Yahoo, Netflix and YouTube.
With access to this vast on-line media content, it's possible to view news, home movies, take educational classes on any topic, and more.
