Verizon Wireless, CradlePoint Connect Solution Providers at CES

Verizon Wireless and CradlePoint (News - Alert) announced at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES (News - Alert)), that their combined solutions were able to provide network connectivity to solution providers. The two organizations provided demonstrations at the Verizon (News - Alert) booth at the show.

A number of solution providers from the healthcare industry to entertainment as well as security and retail have opted for CradlePoint routing solutions. These were powered by Verizon Wireless and provided connectivity to the Internet for demonstrations at CES. Access to the Verizon 4G LTE (News - Alert) network is possible through CradlePoint routers and adapters which utilize Verizon Wireless external USB data modems. They can also make use of CradlePoint's cutting edge holistic business-grade mobile broadband.

Irrespective of the number of applications being powered, a CradlePoint router can be split to connect devices and applications such as VoIP phones; digital signage or kiosks and wireless video surveillance cameras. Also on the list of devices are employee laptops and mobile devices and gaming systems. Even the publicly accessed Wi-Fi can be used from a separate network to make sure there is secure operation.

In a release, Bryan Fuhr, Healthsense Co-founder and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, said, "CradlePoint solutions are a key component of keeping these systems online and accessible during one of the most critical times in someone's life. At Healthsense, we believe in lowering the cost of care, increasing independence and improving the experiences of older adults, families and caregivers. We take pride in providing technology systems that enable people to live independently as long as possible."

Healthsense is one of the leading organizations in remote monitoring solutions meant for older adults. They also held hold demonstrations at the Verizon booth utilizing CradlePoint devices to connect to the Internet.

Ken Hosac, Vice President of Business Development at CradlePoint, said, "Regardless of industry or user type, whether you're a large distributed enterprise, a start-up, or have a need for machine-to-machine (M2M) network solutions, CradlePoint devices, combined with Verizon's 4G LTE network, will connect you to the Internet with the speed and reliability you need for your applications."
