Voice & Data Converge On Miami!

Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO Miami 2001 Hotel Inter-Continental, Miami, FL February 7-9

The idea was so obvious. In fact, it may have been the shortest 'new product idea' meeting in American business history. The first two installments of Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO -- held in San Diego -- were complete sellouts. Every inch of booth space, every conference pass, every hotel room on Coronado Island: SOLD OUT. So it was obvious that a new, second show in a world-class East Coast venue was what the industry needed.

Why? Because it is more necessary than ever to stay on top of changes taking place in the fast-growing IP telephony industry. Besides, attending one show every 12 months is simply not enough to keep you abreast of the rapid advances in Internet telephony technology.

And so, (drum roll please...) Technology Marketing Corporation is pleased to announce Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO Miami. For 2001, the conference has been expanded to offer countless new and unique sessions. In fact we've added an International & Latin America track to go hand in hand with our fantastic Miami location, in order to feed an ever-increasing hunger for knowledge in the international market for Internet telephony. Whether you are an enterprise end user, a next-gen or other service provider, a developer, or a reseller, you are virtually assured of leaving the show knowing how every new IP telephony development and trend affects your business.

THE CONFERENCE
Conference hours for Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO Miami are as follows:

  • Wednesday February 7 -- 9:30am4:45pm
  • Thursday February 8 -- 8:30am5:30pm
  • Friday February 9 -- 8:30am4:15pm

Essentially the program breaks down into six distinct conference tracks with anywhere from five to fifteen sessions under each heading. Some tracks will continue for the duration of the EXPO, while others are scheduled for only one or two days. Following are the track descriptions for Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO Miami together with the days they will be available.

Corporate/Enterprise Track (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Learn about Fax-Over-IP solutions; Internet telephony gateway selection and implementation; Voice-Over-DSL solutions; voice-enabled e-commerce options; IP-enabled PBXs and VoIP upgrade options; LAN-based telephony; unified messaging; telecommuting solutions; collaborative computing; and much more!

Service Provider Track (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
This track is for Telcos, IXC, CLEC, RBOC, ISP, PTT, etc. -- any provider who is looking to deploy the latest IP-based enhanced telephony services, including prospective startup ITSPs (Internet telephony service providers), ASPs (Application Service Providers) and ICPs (Integrated Communications Providers).

Developer/Reseller Track (Wednesday, Thursday)
Discuss development and the sale/support of specific IP telephony products. Sessions will include evaluating Internet telephony building blocks; detailing ways to stress test IP telephony solutions; building carrier class systems; Linux and open-source development issues; quality of service imperatives; an in-depth review of competing standards; selecting the right Internet telephony API; choosing the optimal computing platform; and more!

General & Special Interest Track (Wednesday, Thursday)
Learn how to make an airtight business case for deploying IP telephony solutions; find out the essential marketing techniques for your new Internet telephony service; explore the opportunities of streaming media; examine vXML and the emerging market for Internet voice portals and audio ISPs; and more!

Spotlight On Development Track (Friday)
This special one-day track provides an innovative forum for learning about unique vendor development perspectives and techniques. Geared to the serious Internet telephony developer, each of three special development conference sessions will provide an in-depth discussion of a specific vendor's Internet telephony development environment.

International & Latin America Track (Friday)
Delve into the steps you need to take to successfully expand overseas or across borders. Service provider sessions focus on proven applications for international service, including simple resale, prepaid, and callback; partnering strategies with local governments and incumbent providers; and leveraging services of a VoIP clearinghouse to gain a global footprint. Vendors, learn strategies for managing expansion from experts, enabling you to learn (and profit) from their experiences.

THE EXHIBITS
The Exhibit Hall at Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO Miami is where you'll find all of the latest products resulting from the convergence of voice, video, fax, and data on display for you to review, test, and compare. SEE YOU IN MIAMI
So there you have it: A quick rundown of what you can expect to see at the first-ever east coast Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO.
