Active Ethernet, a new feature that provides power over Ethernet
capabilities for Lucent's entire
ORiNOCO product line of enterprise, outdoor, and public area wireless
networking equipment, allows system installers to run only a single Ethernet
cable to each Access Point base station, instead of separate power and data
cables, saving thousands of cabling dollars.
