Lucent Technologies ORiNOCO: Power Over Ethernet!
Active Ethernet, a new feature that provides power over Ethernet capabilities for Lucent's entire ORiNOCO product line of enterprise, outdoor, and public area wireless networking equipment, allows system installers to run only a single Ethernet cable to each Access Point base station, instead of separate power and data cables, saving thousands of cabling dollars.

Intel Dialogic Enhances VoIP With Internet Phone SDK

The SDK increases developers' ability to reach the market faster with new VoIP products. "The Intel Internet Phone SDK gives an application developer a standards-based development kit with easy-to-use interfaces to build IP telephony calling applications for virtually any business application," states Robert Becker, director of product line and channel marketing for Intel Dialogic.

Performance Technologies And Motorola Computer Group Collaborate
PTI and Motorola will provide a highly reliable, integrated hardware and software signaling gateway solution for Motorola's Global Telecom Solutions Sector, which is developing Motorola's core network architecture for the Aspira technology, an IP-based multimedia services solution. PTI will integrate its MicroLegend SS7/IP distributed software architecture stack and CompactPCI CPC380 network I/O modules with MCG's Linux-based, cPCI CPX8216 hardware platform for use in wireless systems being built for Motorola's Aspira architecture.

Infinilink Corporation's i500 Ethernet Router Approved in Europe, Asia
With CE approval, in addition to its previous FCC certifications, the i500 can be used in any region where G.992.1 T1.413i2 Annex A has been deployed across the world. Compliant with all current industry standards, the i500 features an embedded processor responsible for implementing all ATM and protocol encapsulation software functions allowing it to provide an "always on" connection.

Kenetec Defines The Services-Oriented Building Area Network
