Polkast Explains at ITEXPO Why It's Better Than the Cloud

Polkast is the kind of solution that everyone could significantly benefit from. At ITEXPO (News - Alert) Las Vegas 2013, Polkast CEO and Founder Hong Bui explained why.

The company – founded only two years ago – has truly transformed the concept of work efficiency and collaboration. Users can access and share original files – text documents, videos, photos and more – to and from any device instantly.

“No content is ever compromised or duplicated or copied on any other third-party storage,” Bui explains. “Only the devices that they own, can see that content. At no point does Polkast ever see that content.”

With Polkast, you can work across multiple operating systems and multiple locations so that virtual teams can work more efficiently and productively. The technology fits into any business process or strategy. For example, if you need to work last minute and don’t have your laptop, you can access and share all pertinent information to any of your employees’ devices as if you were in-office. And, when you edit documents and photos in Polkast and save it to the application, it will save across every connected device.

Needless to say, this removes a lot of hassle and burden on user’s ends. This means never needing to send another e-mail to yourself or synch your devices again. When traveling, you’ll never have to lug around your laptop because it contains all of your private, critical information. With the touch of a button, you can access and share it as needed via any Internet-connected device.

Bui makes the company’s main proposition clear: “I’m not proposing you abandon the cloud, because the cloud is great in certain cases, but you don’t need to use the cloud for everything. Less sensitive information can certainly be stored in the cloud; however, there is obviously more sensitive information that people don’t want to put in the cloud. This is a secure alternative and resolution to this issue.”
