Dialogic's SR140 Fax Software Now Interoperable with Broadvox SIP Trunking Services

Dialogic, a provider of communications technologies that power advanced networks, announced it has successfully completed certification Brooktrout SR140 Fax Software with the Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking services from Broadvox, a provider of hosted Unified Communications-as-a-Service. of Dialogic (News - Alert)




With this integration, enterprises and hosted service providers can now use Dialogic's fax software together with Broadvox SIP Trunking to provide their customers with reliable Fax over IP (FoIP) services, including support for the T.38 FoIP protocol, company officials said.

“As we continue to see strong demand for SIP-based communications services within the Enterprise market, we also see a growing need to support reliable fax communications,” said Franz-Josef Eberle, vice president and general manager, Value Added Services and Cloud Enabling Group at Dialogic, in a statement.

“Certification with the Broadvox (News - Alert) GO! SIP Trunking services demonstrates our commitment to this growing market, and we are proud to add them to our tested FoIP interoperability list,” Eberle added.

The Brooktrout (News - Alert) fax technology featured in Dialogic FoIP solutions delivers high performance, reliability and scalability. Dialogic's SR140 software features T.38 protocol that enables real-time fax messages over IP networks. It also features board-less fax processing to simplify deployment. Based on the V.34 high speed fax standard, the solution also reduces long distance toll costs.

“Dialogic has a strong reputation for its high quality fax technology, and the certification of the SR140 software with the Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking services will expand the reach of our service,” said David Byrd (News - Alert), executive vice president of sales and marketing at Broadvox, in a statement. “Our combined offerings will provide customers with a more efficient and effective way to do business.”

Recently Dialogic announced it has signed a deal with Aircel, a mobile operator in India. Aircel (News - Alert) has selected the Dialogic Vision 1000 Video Gateway as its 3G video calling platform, according to company officials.
