StarView Helps Texas SMBs Access SIP-Based VoIPBy Brendan B. Read, Senior Contributing Editor In this economy it is about having the right tools to accomplish the tasks at hand readily, reliably, and affordably. And that includes SIP-based VoIP.
That’s what StarView, which specializes in supplying IP communications solutions to small to midsized businesses in major Texas metro markets is offering to its clientele. It is now selling virtually off-the-shelf IP communications packages priced as low as $459.95 per month for a T1 high-speed Internet connection and business-class VoIP.
The company will use new SIP technology to implement converged voice and data capabilities. It says SIP will enable SMBs to significantly reduce communications costs and improve efficiency without investing in a new phone system or disrupting business. The Austin-based company initially plans to concentrate its sales efforts in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio before expanding into other Texas markets.
“The current economic downturn provides fertile ground for the new business,” explains David Walsh (News - Alert), president of StarView. “We’re offering SMBs a painless way to upgrade to integrated VoIP and high-speed Internet service, which will enable powerful new communications tools and cost significantly less than traditional telecommunications service.”
StarView is also making available several add-on services designed to help business managers and busy professionals do more with less. These include:
“Competitive pricing is likely to drive our sales but future growth is the real value we’re selling,” adds Phil Battaglia, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Our IP communications systems enable organizations to evolve as technology advances and to scale – up or down – to meet specific business needs.”
