RAD Data Communications Features SIP-Based VoIP Solution at ITEXPO East 2009

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

RAD Data Communications (News - Alert) will show off its fully integrated end-to-end VoIP solution for service providers this week at Internet Telephony (ITEXPO) East 2009.

The international manufacturer of telecommunications access equipment is showcasing its “all-in-one” cross-generation RAD VoIP System (RVS) platform for both legacy and next generation networks that delivers any service over any infrastructure at the show in Miami from Feb. 2 to Feb. 4 in Miami.

“We are excited to promote RVS to ITEXPO’s (News - Alert) service provider audience because we understand that in today’s tough economy, it is more important than ever to introduce new revenue streams,” said Ran Hysler, RAD systems engineer and product specialist.

ITEXPO is the event with an educational program that teaches enterprises, SMBs, and Government Agencies how to select and deploy IP-based voice, video, fax, and unified communications.

The RVS will be featured in the exhibit booths of two RAD partners: Atlantic Communications (booth #529) and Pulse (News - Alert) (booth #922).

The company says the platform was designed to present service providers an opportunity to tap into new revenue sources by offering business and residential customers a way to easily migrate the cost-cutting VoIP telephony.

“Our solution empowers providers to act on the VoIP opportunity quickly, easily, and cost-effectively,” said Hysler.

The RVS’s Class 5 SIP smart softswitch comes with built-in management and provisioning capabilities that interoperate with SIP-compliant VoIP gateways to provide a seamless service that saves operating expenses and minimizes Total Cost of Ownership.

The solution is intended to serve the data and voice access requirements of service providers, incumbent and new carriers, and enterprise networks by reducing infrastructure investment costs while boosting competitiveness and profitability.

The key behind the technology is allowing subscribers to cut costs with IP telephony while maintaining existing telephony equipment. The solution is scalable and enables providers of all sizes to start with a small subscriber base and "pay-as-you-grow."
