Aastra to Demonstrate Microsoft Lync-Compatible Phones at ITEXPO West

Aastra will be demonstrating its 6725ip and 6721ip phones, which are optimized for Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync, at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and Expo (ITEXPO) in Los Angeles next week.

Officials with Aastra (News - Alert) said that 6721ip and 6725ip phones deliver exceptional quality and value while tightly integrating with Microsoft Lync, making them powerful unified communications devices.

Company officials said that these phones can operate independently from a PC, so they can be easily and widely deployed.

According to company officials, the Aastra 6725ip offers the additional benefits of a PC connection via a USB cable for a tight integration with Microsoft Lync Server 2010. Click-to-dial is enriched with presence status, ensuring a more efficient call management for business users and team collaboration.

The Aastra 6721ip and 6725ip phones, company officials said, were designed with a focus on providing a superior user experience to facilitate the adoption of unified communications, including an intuitive interface clearly displayed on a full color 3.5-inch LCD screen; easy access to the most essential calling features through navigation keys; and wideband audio which enhances the clarity of all calls, a particular benefit for companies doing business internationally.

The 6721ip and 6725ip are available for order now and can be shipped in conjunction with the general availability of Microsoft Lync.

Aastra is the U.S. business unit of Aastra Technologies Limited, a company at the forefront of the enterprise communication market.

Earlier this month, Aastra and Leonid Consulting, which provides IT solutions to ITSP’s, announced availability of Loki Portals 2.6 for Aastra SIP phones.

The Visual Device Management module of Leonid’s Loki Portals is currently available for Aastra 6757i SIP phones. The product will be expanded to work with all Aastra 6700i series SIP phones by the end of October.
