Aztech Showcases New Brand Products at CES

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Aztech Systems (News - Alert) Ltd. has displayed two new brand products at the Consumer Electronic Show 2008 (CES) in Las Vegas. Debuting for the first time are the Wireless Multimedia Streamer, ADSL2+/VDSL All-in-one Digital Residential Gateway (News - Alert) and 200Mbps HomePlug Wireless Draft N Router.

The new products are designed to bring together a seamless integration of Triple Play (News - Alert)-data/voice/video for greater broadband connectivity and networking convenience to homes and businesses.

“Unveiling these 2 new products at the world-renowned CES (News - Alert) marks a great way to start 2008, stated Martin Chia, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing in a Friday statement.

“Forged from strong R&D capabilities, and with much attention paid to current market trends, we are proud to share with our customers and partners how we can augment and simplify their networking needs with the next generation of products that assimilate or transform seamlessly into their homes and offices."

Aztech provides OEM/ODM services in the Untied States. Such services are provided to the broadband adoption market that has witnessed phenomenal growth. The U.S. today continues to be at the forefront with 60.4 million subscribers, while also adding an estimated 3 million each new quarter.

This continuous growth is driven primarily by the increasing popularity and demand of Triple Play services such as IPTV, VoIP calls and video-conferencing. Such services often consume a large amount of Internet bandwidth over broadband connections and always involve multiple devices.

Martin Chia continued, "One of the key products that Aztech will be focusing is our new residential gateway for Internet Service Providers. The gateway is targeted specifically at Triple Play Internet users who demand an all-in-one box, forgoing the hassle of separate devices for their Internet connection, wireless broadband, networking for multiple PCs and VoIP phone calls.”

“We find great value and potential market for such consumer-friendly products and we strive to continue the drive to enhance digital living," Chia concluded.

Aztech Systems specializes in the design and manufacturing of voice and data communications solutions. With headquarters in Singapore, the company today has more than 2,500 employees throughout the world, with strong R&D, design and manufacturing capabilities.

As the demand for VoIP and Triple Play solutions continues to rise in the U.S., the opportunities for companies such as Aztech will continue to grow. The competition will intensify, however, as these venues are proving to be a profitable option for those service providers seeking to increase revenue streams and it is those innovative companies that proactively address the market that will likely come out on top.
