If problems are found, technicians can automatically be notified so corrective action can be taken. Problems can be precisely isolated to the network, switch, IVR, local database, host database, or CTI middleware. Slow system response times are also identified and logged to the system’s integral SQL database for analysis. For more information, contact Mariana Haven at 978-694-9959.

Vendors Participate In VIA Interoperability Test Event
The Vendors’ ISDN Association, Inc. (VIA) announced results from its first formal interoperability test session of Always On/Dynamic ISDN (AO/DI) products and services. The test session, hosted by SBC/Pacific Bell, involved structured tests between different vendors’ products in accordance with a test plan created by VIA. AO/DI is suited for telecommuters and homebased workers because the application simulates an “in the office” environment; information is readily available whenever it is needed or is pushed to the desktop using the ISDN D channel. Because B channels are only invoked when they are needed to boost data throughput, such as downloading a graphics-intensive Internet file, connection costs for the user are significantly reduced.
