By Stefania Viscusi January 29, 2024

CloudTalk, an AI-powered calling solution, successfully closed a $28 million round in its latest Series B funding in a stride toward reshaping the landscape of business communication.

Co-led by KPN (News - Alert) Ventures and Lead Ventures, with participation from existing investors Point Nine Capital, henQ, Presto Ventures, and Orbit Capital, this funding will help accelerate the company’s mission to revolutionize customer experience in business communication.

Founded in 2016 with a vision to empower businesses by making customer experience a primary competitive advantage, CloudTalk gained traction, serving over 4,000 teams across 100-plus countries and facilitating over 400 million customer conversations.

Martin Malych, CEO of CloudTalk, commented that their product has had a positive impact on diverse teams globally, emphasizing the solution's ability to address challenges effectively.

"It's been fun to see how our product solves challenges, powering more than 400 million customer conversations,” said Malych.

CloudTalk is working toward creating a unified ecosystem for communication within customer-facing teams so it fosters more meaningful and impactful conversations. The company also has a vision to develop a platform tailored to meet the evolving needs of the remote workforce.

The company also said it aims to leverage AI to offer features such as call summarization and sentiment analysis. The overarching goal is to provide users with a smart solution that enhances efficiency and adds value to their communication processes.

"Users want their solution to be smart. For example, to summarize calls with artificial intelligence, automate note-taking, and monitor customer opinion via sentiment analysis. That's why our focus is now intensely on AI," said Malych.
