Vendormate, a provider of vendor credentialing management solutions, reportedly is using Salesforce CRM to track and manage its rapidly growing customer base.

The company offers a private-label Software as a Service platform that enables organizations to manage increasingly complex regulatory documentation in addition to traditional vendor information management tasks.

“Vendormate turned to Salesforce CRM because we knew it could handle the complex relationships of compliance regulation and vendor management best practices in healthcare and other industries without a significant investment in IT resources,” said Jeff Beck, director of product management at the company. “Its flexibility and highly configurable design positions us to continue our rapid growth and always maintain our leading edge customer service.  We can track from prospect to contract to implementation. In addition, the app exchange allowed us to integrate with 3rd party tools that we already used, making for a seamless customer lifecycle.”

Vendormate has a unique business model that frees procurement groups from the headache of gathering all the data necessary to evaluate a vendor. The vendor can instead register at a buyer’s Web site, provide essential data and pay a fee to Vendormate to store, credential and monitor the information.

Only four years since its inception, Vendormate now has more than 400 customers, each with their own data to tack. Each customer of Vendormate has hundreds of vendors in its roster that must be credentialed and monitored. Each vendor also generates 4.9 associated individuals that are credentialed and monitored.

Beck continued, “The complexity and fluid nature of all these relationships led us to Salesforce CRM as the best CRM solution. We deployed the customer-facing webform that integrates seamlessly with our Salesforce CRM records.”

“Once a customer completes a web inquiry, Salesforce CRM automatically creates a case associated with that customer and routes it to the appropriate Vendormate contact. The case is tied to all our other information about that customer as well. It increases our efficiency and speeds our response,” Beck said.

Vendormate works to protect the health of supply chains with its unique vendor credentialing and compliance monitoring solutions. The program delivers compliance with both internal policies and government mandates, including OFAC designated national watchlists.

By turning to Salesforce CRM, Vendormate is able to monitor its vendor management practices more effectively and efficiently, while also managing its growth for strong performance. The flexibility and scalability that Vendormate can enjoy with this arrangement ensures that it can handle the volume it currently manages, while also planning effectively for the future.
